Who doesn't love a good heel regardless if it hurts or not. Beauty is pain. I am of course at work today clearly hardly working and came across some of the Fall 2009 couture shoe line-up. Can you say OMG, its shoe porn!!! As a stylist I look for shoes that can complete an outfit instead of add to it, like a punch line to a joke. Ladies sometimes less is more. Above are just some of the shoes featured in Fall 2009 couture runway shows for Givenchy, Armani, Chanel, and Valentino. It makes you wonder what designers have in store for Spring 2009. I hope all of you are excited as I am for Spring Fashion Week 2010 and all its glory. Isn't it ironic that a man would be the creator of the high heel. A visionary, he must have foreseen what was to come in the history of the high heel and how it would help and hurt us. Think back on all your memories of you and your heels. The day you fell in love with your first pair, the nights you practiced walking in your heels careful not to fall, dancing with your girlfriends until you couldn't walk, the fight you had with your boyfriend when you decided you would walk home instead of be around him, and the day you bought your first designer pair...etc. My fellow women, drag queens, and trannies wear your heels proud and continue to high step with greatness, knowing your heels will never let you down.
