Monolithia SS09So I am extremely late on informing myself of this designer. Alexander Koutny of Johannesburg began his journey as a philosophy major while working for a commercial clothing production factory. Soon realized his love of design and fashion and decided to return to school for patternmaking, he later launched his first ready to wear. Becoming bored with the commercialism of South Africa he moved to London and returned to school while working for various designers. Now based in New York Koutny has successfully released his third collection and collaborating in creative projects for British Vogue and other publications.
Ok so I love love love him!!! And I know I may be a bit biased but I cant help, I think that British and European designers think farther outside the box than American designers do. That does not mean I don't love my homeland designers, but I have become bored with the exception of a few, Rodarte being one of my favs. Think out side the box ladies and gents. I may be lady like...lol, but every lady needs her fair share of avant-garde fashion I just seem to love it more than others. Keep your eye on this designer I except we will be hearing more from him...Enjoy!!!
