Street Walker Sundays: Eatonville

So as you know Sundays are my day to post fashionable people that I find in different areas in the city. Yesterday was very unsuccessful, as I hit the beat after a quick stop in Lettie Gooch. I realized after crawling up and down 14th and U St. no one was fashionable enough for my blog. And it seemed that all the unfashionable people decided to come out yesterday. You know this about to be a long one. Now don't get me wrong not everyone is this city fashionably challenged but there are a lot of you who are. There is something to be said about that, I understand we are the nation's capital and many of you have very conservative jobs. But a lot of you are living within a cookie-cutter box and not willing to step outside of it. And you all except this to be noted in the fashion world as a reputable fashion city-I think not. We need to try harder people a lot harder, I will save my rants and raves about the fashion in this city for another day back to Eatonville. So instead of continuing my search with lost hope I decided to give into my hunger pangs and enjoy some good food and spend sometime with my friends. My bestie has been raving about Eatonville for a month now (mostly about the bread pudding) and of course so she could get her bread pudding we decided Eatonville would be the spot to park it. Eatonville, a restaurant designed with Zora Neale Husrton in mind (Eatonville, FL being her place of birth) gives you southern cooking with style. Across the Street from Bus Boys and Poets, continues (the same owners) their feud even after they have been long and gone. I set my eyes on the fried green tomatoes, mac 'n' cheese, and peach corn whiskey lemonade (sounds delish right) and cleared my plates and both drinks (I ordered two) and helped cleared my friends plates as well. All in all this turned out to be a great Sunday even without pictures to post. If you have not made your way to Eatonville yet please make a b-line to one of D.C.'s yummiest restaurants. Until next week!!!
